# Launch (Genesis Pools)

Guardian Finance has decided to use Tomb Finances’ idea of implementing Genesis pools to provide initial token allocations of $GUARD. We believe Genesis pools provide the best bot protection, and will also incentivize OG users of our protocol.

Deposit the required tokens into the Genesis pools and receive $GUARD tokens continuously for up to 2 days**,** from **18th March 2022, 14:00 UTC**. You can proceed to use the accumulated $GUARD to provide LP and earn rewards by farming the LP from the **20th March 2022, 14:30 UTC**

The Genesis pools charge a **small one-time deposit fee of 1%**. These funds will support the development costs of building our ecosystem, which will provide significant long-term value to $GUARD and $SHIELD holders. We decided to go with this fee model because capital appreciation of $GUARD and $SHIELD is where the money is made. **A small team/treasury allocation encourages price appreciation of our tokens to the benefit of all participants.** Too many protocols wrongly give the founders massive token allocations, only to be immediately dumped on the market. Check out the 'Tokens' section for a detailed breakdown of the token allocation.<br>

### Pool Reward Distribution

There will be 3 Genesis Pools, allowing you to earn $GUARD rewards by depositing wFTM, USDC and wETH. Their allocation can be shown below:

**Guard-FTM LP 0% Deposit Fee, 30% allocation**\
**FTM 1% Deposit Fee, 25% allocation**\
**USDC 1% Deposit Fee, 30% allocation**\
**wETH 1% Deposit Fee, 15% allocation**

**A total of 20,000 $GUARD tokens will be distributed across 48 hours.**
